Children's Ministry Role

We are seeking a dynamic and caring individual to join our team as a full-time Children's Ministry staff. This role is designed to nurture the spiritual growth and transformation of children in their lives.

The successful candidate will work closely with Pastors, members of the Children's Ministry, and other church teams to develop and implement effective programs for children aged 18 months to 12 years old. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Vision, Strategy, and Church-Wide Collaboration
  • Assist in developing and reviewing CM programs.
  • Represent the Children's Ministry in collaborations with other church ministries.
  • Coordinate special programs that impact the church as a whole.
  • Facilitate preparation and planning for the Children's Ministry.
  • Recommend ways to engage children in the church life.
  1. Teaching and Nurturing of Children
  • Lead children through teaching during Children's Ministry sessions and Christian Education activities.
  • Work with the Children's Ministry team to conduct/organize programs, including worship, classes, and outreach-focused events.
  • Support teachers in counseling children facing challenges.
  1. Development of Curriculum for AMC Church School
  • Collaborate with Children's Ministry Coordinators to review, select, or develop curriculum.
  • Develop in-house curriculum and lesson plans as needed.
  1. Recruitment and Development of Church School Teachers and Assistants
  • Assist in recruiting teachers and assistants.
  • Evaluate applicants and orient new volunteers.
  • Equip teachers and assistants with knowledge and skills.
  1. Outreach Activities for FMSP and APC
  • Function as the contact link between APC and AMC's Children's Ministry.
  • Assist in conducting Christian Education activities at APC.
  • Link FMSP and AMC's Children's Ministry.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Theology/Divinity or equivalent childhood qualifications.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience working with children.
  • Warm and caring attitude with a love for children.
  • Leadership, dynamic personality, and creative thinking.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Competent in spoken and written English.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong team player.
