Job Summary

This Senior Manager, Operational Risk & Assurance role provides an opportunity to work with Westpac's Institutional Banking division, where our vision is to be a high performing and innovative institutional bank.

Key Responsibilities include providing independent operational risk oversight, insight, and advice to the WIB LOBs and enabling functions primarily in Singapore Branch, with regional Asia-level coverage as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of the 1LOD's adherence to the Group's 2nd Line Assurance Standard as directed.
  • Identify and understand operational risks that may not have been identified by the 1LOD businesses and enabling functions in, or impacting Singapore Branch / Asia.
  • Review and challenge whether operational risks have been identified and assessed appropriately across all activities in Singapore Branch, and Asia.

Requirements

This role requires:

  • Degree qualification with at least 7 years of experience in the corporate & institutional banking environment.
  • Experience in Risk and Control Advisory, and Internal Audit or similar Assurance roles.
  • Ability to articulate, defend, or modify views as needed.
