Emergency Transport Associate

As a key member of our Emergency and Medical Transport team, you will operate ambulances to transport patients safely and efficiently. Your primary role includes managing scheduled patient transfers, hospital discharges, and responding to emergency and non-emergency cases.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive ambulances to transport patients to medical appointments, hospitals, and healthcare facilities.
  2. Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency cases.
  3. Assist medical personnel in loading and unloading patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  4. Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on the ambulance to ensure it is in good working condition.
  5. Adhere to traffic laws, safety protocols, to ensure patient, staff, and public safety.
  6. Maintain accurate records of trips, patient information, and other relevant data as required.
  7. Provide assistance and support to patients during transport, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  8. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills, including defensive driving, emergency response, and medical assistance.
  9. Take on secondary appointments or administrative duties when assigned by management.
Requirements
  1. Possess a valid driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
  2. Previous experience in defensive driving is highly preferred.
  3. Certification or experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is advantageous.
  4. Physically fit and capable of assisting with patient transfers.
  5. Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
  6. Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, especially during emergency situations.
