Procurement Specialist for Cards and Customer Premise Equipment

This role offers an opportunity to work closely with both corporate functions and business units, identifying and realizing cost-saving initiatives that deliver real business value in the procurement of cards and customer premise equipment across all Telenor operations.

  • Critical Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement end-to-end category management plans to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and consolidate suppliers.
  • Provide input to the overall procurement strategy and influence senior-level stakeholders to support and endorse category procurement strategies.
  • Analyze spend data to understand supplier landscapes and identify sourcing opportunities.
  • Maintain and provide category strategy and project/initiative progress and performance tracking and reporting.

Strategic Sourcing: Initiate sourcing activities aligned to category and sourcing plans, leading global and regional sourcing projects using tried and tested methodologies, and ensuring effective handover of contracts to business functions.

Supplier Management: Build strategic relationships with key suppliers to create a high-performing culture that motivates and rewards innovation.

Key Qualifications:

  • More than 5 years in a global procurement/project management/contract management/vendor/negotiations/supply chain management role or as functional expert in SIM Cards/CPE category preferred.
  • Application of procurement best practices and supplier negotiation at executive level.
  • A university degree in business administration, finance, supply chain, or similar.
  • Broad experience with common data processing tools like Excel, Power BI, PPT, Thinkcell.
