Mandai Wildlife Group serves as the guardian of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a distinctive wildlife and nature destination in Singapore, renowned for its exceptional wildlife parks that connect visitors to the captivating realm of wildlife. The Group is embarking on an exciting revitalization initiative at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore's Central Catchment Nature Reserve, which will integrate five wildlife parks with unique nature-based experiences, green public spaces, and an eco-friendly resort.

Key Responsibilities:

We are in search of a skilled and seasoned professional to take on the role of Deputy Vice President, Procurement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid history of managing procurement and contracts, along with a comprehensive understanding of best practices in procurement and contract management.

  • Implement the procurement strategy to guarantee cost-effectiveness, quality, and efficiency within the supply chain.
  • Lead a high-performing procurement team, offering guidance, mentorship, and cultivating a culture of excellence.
  • Build and sustain robust relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure optimal value for the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement processes, maintaining compliance with industry standards, regulations, and ethical practices.
  • Stay informed about market trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the procurement sector.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to align procurement practices and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement aligns with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to procurement and contract management activities.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in supervisory roles.
  • Experience in procurement or contracts across various fields such as technology, consulting, marketing and events, construction, precinct operations, facilities management, cleaning, landscaping, etc., will be advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of procurement software.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
