Job Title: Maintenance Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Changi Prison. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our laundry workshop by maintaining, servicing, and repairing machines and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the availability of machines for production.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repair work to resolve machine faults.
  • Supervise contractors to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with prison rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate with contractors to complete assignments.
  • Maintain workshop tools and equipment in an orderly manner.
  • Ensure Workplace Safety & Health.
  • Maximize production capacity, productivity, and quality.
Requirements
  • Diploma in electronics, electrical or mechanical engineering, or ITC in electronics.
  • 2-3 years of experience in similar roles and industry.
  • ITC – 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Boiler experience in Laundry / Linen services industry preferred.
  • Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, electronic, and related problems.
  • Able to read all the above drawings.
  • Preferred knowledge of Auto-Cad and Line Drawing.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and restricted work environment.
  • Able to understand electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Boiler License Class 1 / 2 preferred.
