GIC is seeking a seasoned professional to join its Portfolio Implementation team as an Assistant Vice President/Vice President.

Job Description

The successful candidate will lead and execute equities portfolio activities, including injections, withdrawals, rebalancing, and transitions. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage complex projects, and excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading equities portfolio activities, including injections, withdrawals, rebalancing, and transitions
  • Recommending and implementing hedging or equitisation strategies using physical and derivatives for cash/tilt management
  • Generating trade orders, proposing, sending orders, managing compliance checks, liaising with traders to ensure best execution
  • Monitoring portfolio risk, performance, and exposures, ensuring adherence to defined tracking error thresholds

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 5-10+ years of experience in portfolio implementation, index portfolio management, or trading within a leading asset management firm, preferably in public equities. A strong understanding of the market landscape, investment products, trading, and portfolio construction, particularly in public equities, is required.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification preferred
  • 5-10+ years of experience in portfolio implementation, index portfolio management, or trading within a leading asset management firm, preferably in public equities
  • Strong understanding of the market landscape, investment products, trading, and portfolio construction, particularly in public equities
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
