ROLE OVERVIEW

As a key member of our team, you will take on the responsibility of planning, managing, designing, developing, delivering, and monitoring data models for FWD across the Asia Pacific region.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather and evaluate data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and critical insights that align with business goals.
  • Employ statistical methods and data mining techniques to extract valuable information from intricate datasets.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to guarantee data accuracy and integrity.
  • Create and develop interactive dashboards and reports utilizing BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView) to convey data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Tailor visualizations to address specific business requirements, ensuring clarity and user-friendliness.
  • Partner with data engineers to establish data specifications and requirements for ETL processes.
  • Validate and transform data to enable effective analysis and reporting.
  • Resolve data integration challenges and contribute to the enhancement of data infrastructure.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to comprehend their data needs and objectives.
  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications and data models.
  • Implement best practices in data governance to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Conduct routine data quality assessments and take corrective measures as necessary.
  • Develop compelling visualizations and narratives to effectively communicate complex insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure visualizations comply with best practices in data storytelling.
  • Provide training and support to business users on BI tools, fostering self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI tools as required.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to existing BI processes and solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Over 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Business Intelligence Specialist, showcasing proficiency in data analysis and BI tools.
  • Expertise in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar platforms.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational database management.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL methodologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data visualization best practices and design principles.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work autonomously.
