About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Finance and Corporate Services team as a Financial Information Management Specialist. This role will play a critical part in supporting the financial and administrative needs of the Group to achieve its business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the technology and operational needs of Financial and Regulatory reporting functions in the Bank.
  • Work with Finance users to gather and analyze user requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and articulate business requirements into functional requirements for functional design documents.
  • Be a liaison person with the Technology team to provide end-to-end solutions that ensure users' needs are optimally met.
  • Manage project implementation, including meeting project key milestones, timelines, and proactively managing and resolving issues.
  • Arrange with users to conduct User Acceptance Tests and arrange with vendors (where relevant) to prepare necessary test environments and support functional testing.
  • Review and support post-implementation issues coming out from project implementation and come up with areas of improvement for delivery.
  • Provide BAU production support for FRR reporting management.
  • Support data provisioning, perform data pre-processing, and analytics.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Finance/Banking, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of working experience in the banking industry and conversant with current accounting policies and banking regulations.
  • Knowledge of Performance Measurement/Financial Reporting/Basel III application systems.
  • Understanding of Data Architecture, Data Warehouse, Data Model, and Business Intelligence.
  • Aptitude for system-related work, experience in end-user maintenance, requirements gathering, UAT testing, and implementation of IT systems.
  • Good analytical and presentation skills, possesses drive and initiative, demonstrates effective leadership.
  • Strong team player, meticulous, able to work independently, and possesses effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with change management documents.
  • Proficiency in MS Power BI, SQL scripting, MS Excel functions is a must.
  • Experience in developing dashboards to support Finance, good grasp of Data Storytelling.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with the use of analytics tools such as Power BI, QlikSense, SAS, Tableau is a plus.
  • Experience with the use of Data Science/Analytics tools as Python, R is a plus.
  • Exposure and participation in at least 1 major project is an advantage.
  • Possess a curious nature and strong ability in problem identification, analysis, and issue resolution.
