Senior Applications Manager Job Description

This is a leadership role where you will oversee the growth and development of our software applications, driving digital transformation initiatives.

  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, fostering high-performance and agile development cultures.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of multiple applications, from concept to deployment and ongoing support.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of software applications, including web-based systems and mobile apps.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define requirements, set priorities, and align application development with broader digital initiatives.

You will be responsible for:

  • Driving technical architecture decisions, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
  • Maintaining technical oversight while enabling autonomy and innovation within the development team.
  • Continuously improving development processes, code quality, and team efficiency through best practices and modern tooling.
  • Monitoring performance of applications, ensuring high availability and user satisfaction.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • At least 15 years of experience, including 7 years of direct team leadership experience managing software engineering teams.
  • Proven technical hands-on background in full stack software development, familiarity with Microsoft .NET and frontend frameworks, with a solid understanding of modern application architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering and managing both web and mobile applications in production environments.
  • Strong grasp of SDLC, Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and cloud-based development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across departments.
