Job Overview

GIC is one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds.

We invest in more than 40 countries globally across asset classes and businesses.

The Real Estate Business Management & Operations team plays a vital role to provide business management and transaction execution support to investment professionals globally.

This includes developing governance structures for the real estate business, improving efficiency by process design, coordinating deal execution and closings, and overseeing the process of identification and presentation to ensure competitive edge.

The team also oversees the Joint Venture operational due diligence (ODD) program for the real estate business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational due diligence activities are carried out and review observations are ensured, guaranteeing key risks and findings are adequately addressed and aligned with governance standards.
  • Coordination of review processes from initiation to completion is handled, along with administrative matters related to ODD.
  • Progress of outstanding reviews is monitored and accurate records of ODD outcomes, follow-ups, and remediation actions are maintained.
  • Internal stakeholders are worked with to ensure ODD outputs are seamlessly incorporated into investment operations and monitoring processes.
  • Technological initiatives related to migration of historical ODD data are supported.
  • Ad hoc initiatives as directed are involved in.
Requirements
  • University degree in relevant field such as business, accounting or similar is required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in internal audit, operational risk, operational due diligence or similar vocation within Financial Services or Real Estate is required.
  • Strong process re-engineering skills with good understanding of efficiency, internal controls and governance are necessary.
  • Detail-oriented individual with ability to work independently and manage projects is required.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills is necessary.
  • Inquisitive self-starter with ability to work in fast-paced environment is required.
  • Ability to drive coordination and project manage amongst multiple stakeholders is necessary.
