Job Summary

The Project Coordinator will oversee and manage the planning and execution of assigned engineering projects, working alongside other engineers in the planning, design, development, and evaluation of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a safety culture in all P&E project execution and ensure 100% compliance with safety requirements, including contractors and visitors.
  • Proactively support and participate in site EHSS activities.
  • Conduct and manage contractor safety orientation and supervision when necessary.
  • Responsible for creating detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules to ensure all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop new project scopes of work.
  • Work with compounding and polymer plant engineers to generate new projects.
  • Coordinate project execution, coordinating internal resources, 3rd party vendors/contractors during project installation to ensure flawless execution.
  • Ensure all engineering activities are executed in compliance with company guidelines, including mechanical integrity, SABIC Engineering Standards, and EHSS requirements.
  • Responsible for creating instructions necessary for systems to function, including manufacturing maintenance procedures, trainings, and system handovers to operation.
  • Ensure all Quality Control-Project coordinate work meets required quality standards and specifications.
  • Verify and audit project quality documents with vendors to align with engineering standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining engineering deliverables (drawings and documents), producing CAD drawings according to specifications and changes.
  • Reporting- Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum NITEC/Technical certificate/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Preferably with min. 3-5 years' relevant work experience in the chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of project management.
  • Project planning and coordination skills.
  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD and practical experience using CAD software may be required.
  • Good knowledge of design and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Good knowledge of office software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and collaborate with others.
    • EHSS knowledge and understanding for project execution.
    • Knowledgeable in Maintenance Theory & Principles; Work processes - Project scheduling and execution
