Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at ILA GROUP PTE. LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of carpenters and general workers, installing foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs, and ensuring the highest quality of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of carpenters and general workers to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using a variety of materials, including wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites.
  • Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim, using precision tools and equipment.
  • Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
  • Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Follows established safety rules and regulations, maintaining a safe and clean environment for all team members.
  • Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
  • Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
  • Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
  • Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
  • Moves necessary materials around job sites as assigned, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Cleans up worksite debris, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • Construction experience and knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or building plans.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials, with physical stamina and endurance.
