About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our team in managing and maintaining railway infrastructure. As a senior manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient maintenance of our tunnel/viaduct systems.

Your key objectives will include monitoring the condition of our infrastructure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards.

Additionally, you will oversee the planning, monitoring, and reviewing of preventive/corrective maintenance works, as well as ad-hoc projects and asset renewal works.

This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and presentation abilities. You will work closely with a team of diploma holders to achieve departmental objectives and ensure the safety and integrity of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the condition of our tunnel/viaduct infrastructure and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards and ensure the safety and integrity of our infrastructure.
  • Oversee the planning, monitoring, and reviewing of preventive/corrective maintenance works, as well as ad-hoc projects and asset renewal works.
  • Liaise with external parties, such as LTA or COML departments, to ensure defect punch-lists are cleared and proper handover of structures, equipment, and documents is achieved.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 8 years of relevant working experience in railway infrastructure maintenance or 10 years of experience in underground or building structure maintenance.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and lead a team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to liaise with external parties.
  • A resourceful, self-motivated, and result-oriented individual who is willing to work odd hours and respond to urgent calls around the clock.
