Job Description

As a skilled tradesperson, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to electrical fitting and wiring. This includes assembly of framework parts, drilling and tapping, installation of fittings and components, and electrical wiring and termination.

  • Perform any task given by the Supervisor or Foreman.
  • Observe and adhere to safety rules and requirements when performing every task at works.
  • Ensure daily working tools are well-maintained.
  • Responsible for good housekeeping in the working area.

Key Responsibilities:

- Installation of fittings and components.
- Observe and adhere to safety rules and requirements when performing tasks.
- Ensure daily working tools are well-maintained.
- Initiate and carry out troubleshooting to support the foreman in handling customer's complaints.
- Report to the foreman promptly on parts unviability and job-related issues.
- Contribute to maximising profit through value engineering, minimal rework and timely delivery.
- Assist the Project Engineer in completing assigned project work.
- Support the Assistant Warehouse Manager / Salvage Foreman in efficient daily operations in compliance with local government and company policies.
- Attend regular site meetings with professionals, including quantity surveyors, building services engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and clients.
- Monitor and coordinate works for foreman and subcontractors.
- Provide technical support and assist the Project Manager in project planning and coordination of all activities.
- Work with safety personnel, trades foremen and subcontractors to ensure daily works comply with government and safety regulations.
- Inform the workshop planner and workshop manager of the availability of mechanical foremen.
- Coordinate with suppliers and mechanical foremen to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Assist the Project Manager in overseeing site activities, progress and planning.
- Check structural steel alignment, level, plumb and correctness; supervise steel fabrication and welding of steel structures and equipment.
- Collaborate closely with the site foreman who organizes construction works on site, and report to the project manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Trade Certificate and/or 1 year of relevant experience.
- Able to work independently with discipline.
- Have teamwork and is committed.
- Able to cooperate on overtime arrangement.
