Role Summary

We are seeking an Empowerment and Development Worker to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will work with female residents between 15-21 years old in an institutional facility, managing welfare, discipline, and safety within the institution.

You will be part of a holistic and therapeutic framework aimed at creating transformation and positive changes in behaviour through close supervision and engagement with residents.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Establishing guiding relationships with residents and being a role model.
  • Managing resident welfare, discipline, and safety within the institution.
  • Motivating and engaging residents to higher levels of behavioural performance and development.
  • Providing close supervision and maintaining resident discipline in accordance with daily programmes.
  • Effectively addressing and managing incidents or emergencies.
  • Updating records, documentations, and correspondence promptly.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A heart to contribute to the wellbeing and development of troubled young females.
  • Keenness to learn and implement Trauma Informed Care (TIC) practice.
  • Minimum 4-5 years' work experience.
  • Advantageous to have experience working with youth and/or youth-at-risk.
