Job Opportunity: Microbiologist Role

The position of Microbiologist is available in a laboratory setting. The selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out microbiological testing and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or Biotechnology and relevant experience in a microbiology lab. They should be familiar with water and food microbiological testing methods, including pyrogen detection and Petrifilm applications.

Key responsibilities include performing microbiological analyses on water and food samples, preparing media and reagents, maintaining culture stocks, and calibrating laboratory equipment. The successful candidate will also be required to maintain accurate records of test data, equipment calibration, and quality control checks.

In addition, the Microbiologist will lead or assist in developing and validating new test scopes, draft and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for newly validated methods, and provide technical guidance to junior staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or Biotechnology
  • Relevant experience in a microbiology lab
  • Familiarity with water and food microbiological testing methods
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
