Job Title: Senior Financial Planning Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our financial planning team. As a senior financial planning manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of active assignments, creating and optimizing comprehensive financial models, and ensuring they are robust and reliable.

  • Manage a portfolio of active assignments
  • Lead in the creation and optimization of comprehensive financial models
  • Develop and refine assumptions, parameters, and scenarios under the guidance of managers to ensure model robustness and reliability
  • Review and interpret commercial documentation and ensure it is reflected accurately in the financial model
  • Perform sensitivity analysis and stress testing to validate model assumptions and outputs, aiding clients in making informed decisions

Main Responsibilities:

Operations

You will work with a team of modeling professionals to create, analyze, and optimize complex financial models. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of active assignments
  • Leading in the creation and optimization of comprehensive financial models to support strategic decision-making
  • Developing and refining assumptions, parameters, and scenarios under the guidance of managers to ensure model robustness and reliability
  • Reviewing and interpreting commercial documentation and ensuring it is reflected accurately in the financial model
  • Performing sensitivity analysis and stress testing to validate model assumptions and outputs, aiding clients in making informed decisions
People

You will also be responsible for leading a team of modeling professionals, training, motivating and managing junior team members on assignments, collaborating closely with team members, learning and contributing to assignments, communicating model findings and insights effectively to clients and internal teams, and simplifying complex financial model issues to make them understandable for non-technical stakeholders.

Growth

In addition, you will support business development and growth ambitions of a key sector of the business, lead in the development of client pitches, lead client calls and build client relationships.

  • A good appreciation of accounting concepts, an accounting qualification beneficial
  • An in-depth understanding of Project Finance concepts
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience in building and operating financial models using Excel
  • Degree qualified in a numerate discipline, with a postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance beneficial
  • Experience with the FAST financial modeling standard is desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
