The role of Finance Executive, Fixed Assets is a key position within the Finance Shared Services (FSS) team.

About This Role

This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Fixed Asset function in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA).

A significant aspect of this job is supervising a team of four staff members to ensure the smooth functioning of the FA function.

  • Review and ensure transaction postings comply with Financial Reporting standards and PHI's policy & procedures.
  • Monitor Assets under Construction / FA clearing GL Accounts open items schedule, ensuring timely follow-up actions and asset capitalization.
  • Review asset tag acknowledgement logs to ensure follow-up on outstanding matters.
  • Liaise with internal / external stakeholders and auditors on Fixed Asset related matters.

This role also entails providing staff training, giving performance feedback and coaching to staff to achieve corporate KPIs.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervising a team of four staff.
  • Reviewing and ensuring compliance with Financial Reporting standards and PHI's policy & procedures.
  • Monitoring Assets under Construction / FA clearing GL Accounts open items schedule.
  • Providing staff training and performance feedback.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Diploma in accounting or equivalent (e.g. CAT); with at least 10 years' experience in Accounts Payable/ Accounting or Degree in Accountancy or ACCA, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferably with 1-3 years' of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in SAP is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Independent, self-driven and meticulous.
  • Customer-service oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
