Reservations Manager

The Singapore Resort & Spa seeks a skilled Reservations Executive to join our team. As a key member of the reservations department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless guest experiences and maximizing hotel revenue.
Salary Range: SGD 45,000 - 60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily reservation activity and communicate status with the Sales Department.
- FOLLOW up on tentative sales bookings with respective Sales Managers to update status.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date files are maintained.
- Liaise with clients to coordinate room allocations according to attrition policies.
- Liaise with clients to obtain rooming lists.
- Release room blocks to general inventory after cut-off dates or cancellations.
- Ensure accurate input of rooming lists into the Property Management System (PMS).
- Preliminary block rooms where special requests are made.
- Follow up on no-shows from bookings and liaise with clients on non-arrival charges.
- Maintain a close working relationship with all hotel departments.
- Assist other department members as needed in performing job functions.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive reputation for the hotel and increasing overall profitability.
- Monitor room inventory and alert the Reservations Manager to high/low demand dates.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude towards work and be self-motivated.
- Contribute to operational efficiency by performing assigned duties.
- Establish good public relations with guests.
- Suggest ideas for improving the department.
- Provide guests with accurate and up-to-date information at all times.
- Ensure maximum guest satisfaction through recognition and prompt attention.
- Provide current updates on reservation trends and forecasts for current and future dates.
- Have thorough knowledge of procedures for handling room bookings.
- Be knowledgeable about the PMS and its operation.
- Ensure guests' names, revenue segments, distribution channels, and purposes of stay are accurately updated in the PMS.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Tourism/Hospitality Management.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track records.
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
