Leading Lighting Design Specialist

Senior Lighting Designer Position

This senior role is responsible for leading and coordinating the lighting design process from concept to completion.

  • Produce high-quality lighting designs, including concept presentations, drawings, and calculations;
  • Collaborate with electrical teams, clients, and other consultants to ensure effective project management;
  • Guide and oversee junior designers, providing assistance and guidance as needed;
  • Present lighting strategies to clients and other stakeholders;
  • Manage project budgets and finances, ensuring timely delivery and within allocated resources;
  • Attend project meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders;
  • Provide technical support on site and conduct site inspections as required;
  • Prepare lighting design concept presentations and make presentations to owners and consultants;
  • Review and prepare design documentation, tender documentation, and other related administrative documents;
  • Assist lead designers in preparing URA and BCA Green Mark Lighting submissions;
  • Manage defect liabilities and assist in client support;
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration amongst colleagues;
  • Support business development, marketing, and other business management initiatives;
  • Participate and support the company's safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) initiatives within their scope of duties.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a related field;
  • Degree or diploma in Electrical, Architecture, Product Design, or Interior Design;
  • Proficient in common design analysis software like Photoshop, Dialux, etc.;
  • Strong design flair and excellent communication skills;
  • Good team leadership and player qualities.
