Backend Software Engineer for Global E-commerce

About the role

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-performance, scalable, and secure services for e-commerce solutions on TikTok Shop.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other disciplines to design next-generation shopping experiences.
  • Build intuitive and reliable shopping experiences, including browsing product details, checkout, shopping, returns, and refunds.
  • Design and develop platforms and tools for merchants, clients, and businesses to manage campaigns and deliver actionable insights.
  • Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Update software, enhance existing software capabilities, and direct software testing and validation procedures.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in software development, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Coding experience with a general-purpose programming language (e.g., Java, C/C++, Go, Python).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Redis, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Druid, and Spark Streaming.
  • Experience working on distributed cloud services.
  • Good understanding of large-scale backend service design.
