Vehicle Technician Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.

The job involves carrying out routine checks and repairs on vans and lorries, as well as performing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are running efficiently.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out diagnostic tests for van and lorry
  • Perform mechanical repairs for van and lorry
  • Conduct electronic repairs for van and lorry
  • Repair air conditioning systems
  • Carry out engine overhauls and chassis repairs
  • Conduct preventive maintenance for vehicles
  • Ensure all work orders are carried out according to schedule
  • In charge of vehicle movement and parking

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a relevant workshop environment dealing with commercial vehicles
  • Familiarity with light to medium-sized vans and lorries and servicing major brands such as Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, and Hino
  • Knowledge of both petrol and diesel engines
  • Positive learning attitude and good team player
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (bilingual English and Mandarin)
  • 6-day working week
