Job Title:Biofellowship Researcher
Description:
The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at NTU Singapore seeks research fellows to contribute to a project focused on the collective motion of bacteria and mechanics of bacterial colonies and biofilms. The successful candidates will work alongside talented individuals from around the world, fostering an environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Design experimental systems and perform measurements.
- Process experimental data and analyze results.
- Implement numerical calculations to simulate collective behaviors of bacteria.
- Build theoretical models to describe or explain experimental or numerical results.
- Help organize the research lab.
- Train undergraduate students in research techniques.
Requirements:
A PhD degree in biophysics, soft matter physics, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related field. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency in experimental techniques such as microscopy, microfluidics, or rheology. Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
