Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed by contractors and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate and coordinate discipline engineering technical work products, including review of discipline design drawings and documents.
  • Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements, ensuring that such deviations are processed according to company procedures.
  • Steward discipline engineering queries from contractors and sub-contractors, as well as technical information requests.
  • Keep the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of discipline engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns.
  • Participate in discipline engineering reviews at contractors' and subcontractors' locations.
  • Drive and promote capital efficiency in engineering design.
  • Support internal engineering general interest or Global Practice initiatives as requested by Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance in Oil & Gas Refinery, Petrochemical, and Chemical plants.
  • Broad knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
  • Experience in RCFA - Root Cause Failure Analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications.
  • Experience working/associated with Oil & Gas - machinery craft.
  • Well-versed with SAP system.
  • Ensure compliance to company's site safety and controls protocols.
  • Machinery engineering support to the business unit.
  • Take care of day-to-day issues, drive RCFA and bad actor program. Provide timely inputs to long-range items including AMP, Turnaround, technology improvements, etc.
  • Hands-on experience of Major Overhauling of MAN SteamTurbine, Gas Turbine GE Frame 6B, 5002D.
  • Centrifugal Compressor Troubleshooting & Overhauling, Dry Gas Seal Replacement.
  • Troubleshooting & Overhauling of Vertical & Horizontal Reciprocal Compressors, Single & multi-stage Centrifugal pumps, Gear Boxes, etc.
