Risk Management Leader

The Market and Liquidity Risk Management team of Mizuho Bank's Asia Pacific region is responsible for implementing, driving, and enhancing strategies, policies, and procedures for market and liquidity risk management.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and management to the department.
- Assume responsibility for market and liquidity risk management across all treasury-related activities, including methodology research, risk monitoring framework review and enhancement, work efficiency improvement, reporting, new product development, and audit handling.
- Coordinate the Asia Pacific Asset Liability Committee (ALM) meetings.
- Liaise with regional departments, such as Risk Management, Financial Accounting, Compliance, Internal Audit, and other bodies, on all business requirements and technical matters related to risk management.
- Cultivate close communication with front and back offices and timely escalate to higher management.
- Provide instructions to regional offices to comply with Head Office rules.
- Obtain regional offices' risk profiles and offer necessary advice from a market and liquidity risk management perspective to optimize risk and profit as a bank.
- Develop staff capabilities within the region.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant experience in a corporate or commercial banking environment.
- Must have knowledge and experience in market and liquidity risk areas.
- Familiarity with financial products and ability to understand pricing models and risk models.
- Strong leadership skills and experience.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
