Technical Innovation Leader

Job Description:

The successful candidate will lead technology initiatives with knowledge and expertise on the development of new inspections, processes, and methods for engine overhaul and component repair capabilities in MRO shops – across Civil Aerospace, Defense and Power Systems business.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and formulate technology problem statements from various operational stakeholders.
  • Work closely with other functions and customers to identify and implement new repair development and/or cost reduction projects.
  • Provide Technical leadership for processes like adaptive machining, automation or robotics and driving new process introduction in shop floor – aligned to future direction for developing strategic repairs within this region.

Requirements:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience – preferable in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Experience in robotics, machining or analytics, or development of new capabilities will be advantageous.

  • Strong Problem-solving capabilities, along with effective communication skills.
  • An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to a range of technical problems.
  • Good global communication and presentation skills and have the ability to develop strong relationship across multiple functions, partners, suppliers and cultures.
