Job Overview

The Airport Electrical Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and construction management of high voltage power distribution systems and electrical building services for airport development projects.

This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will have a good degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant working experience in planning, design, implementation, and project management of high voltage electrical power distribution systems and building services for large scale infrastructure or commercial development.

  • Good experience in planning, design and implementation of high voltage electrical substation and distribution system is highly desirable.
  • Power monitoring and control system for electrical systems is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, design, and implement high voltage power distribution systems and electrical building services for airport development projects.

Work closely with the in-house design team and other consultants to ensure code and regulatory compliance, quality, reliability, resiliency, efficiency, and maintainability of the system.

Manage, coordinate, and interface with multi-disciplinary stakeholders to ensure design is performed in accordance to user needs/requirements, within budget and schedule, meeting highest quality standards.

Carry out advisory towards the procurement of spare parts and services relating to maintenance of AFL.

Support the airfield design and master planning team in the study of system capacity and implementation of future airfield projects.

Requirements

Good degree in Electrical Engineering.

At least 3 years of relevant working experience in planning, design, implementation, and project management of high voltage electrical power distribution systems and building services for large scale infrastructure or commercial development.

Good experience in planning, design and implementation of high voltage electrical substation and distribution system.

Experience in power monitoring and control system for electrical systems will be an advantage.

Self-motivated, driven, assertive, and analytical.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Able to understand and develop technical drawings, specs & requirements.

Project management skills and ability to work independently to deliver results.

Good team player and able to handle fast-paced projects.
