We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Financial Services Assurance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert assurance services to our clients in the financial sector.

About the Role

As a Financial Services Assurance Specialist, you will be working closely with our clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions to meet those needs. This will involve conducting audits, risk assessments, and other assurance-related activities to ensure that our clients' financial reporting is accurate and transparent.

You will also be responsible for managing projects, leading teams, and developing and implementing new methodologies and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our assurance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to our clients
  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to help them achieve their full potential
  • Develop and implement new methodologies and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our assurance services
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends, identifying opportunities to innovate and improve our services
Requirements
  • Relevant accounting qualifications, such as CA or ACCA
  • 6-8 years of experience in a similar role at a Big 4 accounting firm or a large corporate organization
  • Experience in statutory and regulatory audits of Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance and/or Asset Management clients
  • Sound understanding of IFRS/SFRS and SAS/ISA. US GAAP knowledge would be useful
  • Excellent project management and team working skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of commercial issues facing businesses in this sector
