Job Title: Staff Algorithm and AI Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Algorithm and AI Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and robustness of our algorithms.

As a Staff Algorithm and AI Test Engineer, you will lead the development of innovative testing frameworks and tools that enable comprehensive validation and characterization of algorithms. You will work closely with other teams to integrate testing into the development process and refine tools based on feedback.

The ideal candidate will have experience in algorithm and AI testing, testing automation, and leadership. You should also possess strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Matlab, as well as excellent knowledge in data analysis and visualization.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Developing effective processes to verify algorithm performance and understand their behavior
  • Creating infrastructure and frameworks to automate algorithm testing and improve workflows
  • Using the latest techniques, like AI and deep learning, to enhance testing and predict real-world algorithm performance
  • Working closely with other teams to integrate testing into the development process and refine tools based on feedback

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field; Master's degree is highly preferred
  • 5+ year experience in algorithm and AI testing and testing automation experience within a product development setting or SDLC experience
  • Shown experience in developing testing frameworks and pipelines to automate algorithm and AI testing
  • Experience with pytest, Junit, CI/CD
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and guiding junior engineers
  • Experience in biotechnology industry is a plus

Skills:

  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Matlab
  • Solid understanding of various algorithms and the ability to analyze algorithm complexity and performance
  • Excellent knowledge in data analysis and visualization
  • Good understanding of AI/ML models, framework, and mathematical concepts
  • Strong communication skills, and the ability to present work to both technical specialists and non-experts
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently
