We are seeking a skilled Cryptocurrency System Architect to lead the design and development of our crypto accounting infrastructure.

About This Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and shape the future of cryptocurrency trading and financial systems. As a senior system engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building robust accounting systems that simplify complexities of crypto trading.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building scalable distributed systems with a strong background in Ruby or Go. They will also possess robust experience in crypto trading workflows, financial systems, and accounting, as well as familiarity with REST and Websocket APIs, PostgreSQL, and data warehousing tools.

  • Design and build robust systems for real-time profit and loss calculation by counterparty, venue, and net positions.
  • Automate workflows for trade aggregation, cost basis tracking, and offset reconciliation.
  • Implement multi-ledger systems that separate proprietary and customer trades while maintaining a unified view.

The successful candidate will work closely with our trading and operations teams to define accounting and reporting requirements, and collaborate with finance and compliance teams to ensure accurate and audit-ready systems.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in building scalable distributed systems with a strong background in Ruby or Go.
  • Robust experience in crypto trading workflows, financial systems, and accounting.
  • Familiarity with REST and Websocket APIs, PostgreSQL, and data warehousing tools.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
Bonus Skills

Possession of the following skills will be highly valued:

  • Experience in crypto accounting tools such as Cryptio, Koinly, or Syla.
  • Exposure to ERP platforms/financial systems such as SAP, Oracle Financials, Netsuite.
  • Knowledge of FIX protocols or exchange API integrations.
  • Familiarity with blockchain transaction tracking and smart contract integrations.
