About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for new and existing data centers, including MV/LV power distribution, backup power, earthing & lightning protection systems, load balancing & distribution, lighting & emergency lighting, acoustic design, cable containment systems, and T&C procedures.

You will also be involved in selecting and procuring electrical equipment, ensuring it meets safety standards and performance requirements. Additionally, you will perform calculations to determine power requirements, equipment capacities, and circuit loads.

Data Center Design Expertise

Your expertise will be utilized to design critical data center equipment, including EHT Transformers, Switchroom bays, Ring Main Units, Transformers, Uninterrupted Power Supplies, Batteries, Switchboards, Automatic/Static Transfer Switches, Busducts, End Feed Units, Tap Off Units, and Standby Power Generators.

You will collaborate with the core team to develop and update data center mechanical designs, from Basis of Design (BOD) to Issue for Construction (IFC) documents. You will also review and maintain internal design specifications, drawings, and standards.

Evaluation and Review

You will evaluate the design, construction, and operation of mission-critical facilities and associated MEP components. You will liaise with internal business units and external customers to translate technical requirements into executable plans.

Collaboration and Innovation

You will participate in reviewing Data Center MEP Designs and other necessary disciplines for new data center builds and data hall fitouts. You will create data hall layout plans and perform test fits to validate server capacity plans and failover calculations.

Leadership and Collaboration

You will continually find ways to collaborate and break new ground to enhance MEP design to meet future needs. You will develop innovative solutions and own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions that add capacity, improve availability, increase efficiency, and sustainability.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline. You should have a minimum of 5 years of mission-critical design experience and end-to-end Electrical design experience from Extra High Tension to Low Tension in AC and DC Systems in mission-critical design, construction, and operations.

You should possess knowledge of large-scale mission-critical facility Electrical infrastructure systems. Experience with fast-track design/build projects and/or multiple significant upgrade projects is essential.

Salary and Benefits
