About the Role

We are seeking an AVP to join our Global Investments, Strategy and Risk (GISR) group in Singapore. The successful candidate will support senior colleagues in evaluating investments, developing investment strategy, and defining the role of private credit within the broader GIC portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy: Develop and articulate private credit investment strategy, monitoring the private credit landscape for intelligence on downside drivers for systemic markets, sponsors, sectors, and companies.
  • Deal Evaluation: Develop an independent view of deals and fund investments, opining on business quality, financial strength, and risk of capital loss, identifying and examining key risks and mitigants, and opining on risk-return.
  • Portfolio: Monitor and evaluate the performance of the portfolio and fund investments, monitoring comparable businesses, key themes, and disruption risks.
  • Risk: Manage pricing and currency hedge cost models to set hurdle rates, stress testing of portfolio returns, and monitor concentration risks.
Requirements
  • Passion for credit investing.
  • 5-8 years' experience with at least 3 years' buy-side experience at direct lending firms, investment banks, merchant banks/financing groups.
  • Self-driven, intellectually curious, adaptable, learning and growth mindset, able to frame unstructured problems and triangulate solutions, positive attitude with high energy and initiative.
  • Ability to work well in teams and with different stakeholders, with maturity and confidence.
  • Strong business evaluation, research, and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
