Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician to join our Technical Service team. As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our operations team, ensuring the smooth operation of our process equipment and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and familiarize yourself with process equipment, including PID's, layouts, and block diagrams.
  • Execute and review SAT protocols and reports.
  • Execute and review equipment mechanical completion and commissioning.
  • Support Technical Service engineers on documentation, including SOP's, WRA, and Risk Assessment.
  • Support Technical Service engineers on creating and reviewing maintenance procedures and maintenance plans.
  • Support process equipment PQ.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all instrument and plant equipment to maximize plant availability and minimize disruption to production processes.
  • Perform routine calibration, preventive maintenance, and ad-hoc work requests on all plant equipment.
  • Support routine cleanroom testing and equipment re-qualification works.
  • Take personal responsibility for quality in all aspects of maintenance work that will have an impact on product quality.
  • Coordinate external resources for maintenance and repair activities.
  • Lead, supervise, develop, and motivate junior C&M Technicians in troubleshooting and faults rectification of all instrument and plant equipment.
  • Assist engineers in performing routine work planning with operations counterparts to enable seamless work handover and minimize disruption to production schedules.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and good housekeeping is maintained.
  • Maintain awareness in SEHS within the Maintenance section.
  • Provide full support and accountability on compliance to SSOW systems, such as PTW and LOTO.
  • Ensure that all maintenance and calibration activities are carried out in compliance with Engineering standards and procedures.
  • Familiarize yourself with Local Standard Operating Procedures, Good Engineering Practice, and Good Manufacturing Practice to carry out maintenance activities to high-quality standards.
  • Ensure cost-effectiveness of all maintenance jobs.
  • Carry out implementation activities for minor plant modifications and capital projects, in line with defined specifications and budget.
  • Contribute to Site VCP.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement (CI projects, Orange Belts) by providing recommendations and initiatives and implementing solutions.
Requirements
  • Technical Diploma from a Polytechnic in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics or Instrumentation and Control or Mechantronics) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in process or related industries.
  • ITE in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics or Instrumentation and Control or Mechantronics) with a minimum of 7 years of experience in process or related industries.
  • Good knowledge in maintenance, calibration, and operating principles of process control instruments in process or chemical plants.
  • Good understanding of DCS and/or PLC as well as Standard Engineering Practice, GMP guide, and relevant maintenance standards (added advantage).
  • Basic awareness of industrial standards.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
