About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Market Risk Specialist to join our team at BTI Executive Search Pte. Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing market risk in our Treasury business activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Risk Monitoring: Monitor Treasury's trading activities and portfolio risk profiles to ensure that they are operating within risk limits.
  • Risk Reporting: Ensure high-level integrity and accuracy in the preparation of risk information and reporting.
  • Issue Escalation: Highlight and escalate breaches, exceptions, and issues to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Portfolio Management: Report risk profile trends and issues to Treasury and make recommendations on portfolio actions.
  • Trading System Management: Responsible for bond definition and limits set up in the Trading System for Treasury and Corporate Banking.
  • Market Stress Testing: Conduct market stress testing to determine the ability of the Branch to withstand plausible severe adverse conditions.
  • Risk Governance: Develop and review/update internal risk-related guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Enhance and automate risk management reports and controls for improved quality and productivity efficiency.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in ad-hoc risk-related UATs and projects.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a relevant discipline.
  • Experience: Ideally, 2 years' related working experience within the Banking industry, Market Risk Management space.
  • Skills: Good understanding of financial products, proficient in spoken and written English/Chinese, and proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel capabilities.
  • Personal Qualities: Good team player with ability to build strong professional relationships, effective communication skills, and good analytical and problem-solving skills.
