Job Title: Purchasing Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage purchasing activities, including supplier management, quotations, and import shipment coordination.
  • Negotiate with existing vendors for better pricing, delivery lead time, and develop new suppliers to build business relationships.
  • Perform cost price value analysis and implement cost reduction programs with existing suppliers.
  • Purchase consumables, equipment, and spare parts from local or overseas vendors.
  • Establish and negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers for cost-effective corporate goods and services.
  • Liaise with suppliers for discrepancies and follow up on issues.
  • Coordinate all import shipments from suppliers to headquarters and overseas branch offices.
  • Ensure shipping document accuracy with suppliers and freight forwarders and comply with import rules and regulations.
  • Submit accurate and timely documents for accounting and audit purposes.
  • Support logistics team for 3rd party outsourcing activities.
  • Update order status in shared folders and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Arrange dropship shipments from suppliers directly to customers, informing sales, OP, and logistics in advance.
  • Generate monthly reports on suppliers' outstanding/pending payments.
Requirements:
  • GCE 'A' Levels or equivalent qualification.
  • 2 years of relevant working experience in order fulfillment management or logistics operations.
  • Knowledge in SAP/Asurix systems.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
