Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess various low-carbon and energy-efficient technologies based on their value proposition and compatibility with applications throughout the energy value chain.
  • Conduct techno-economic evaluations of diverse technologies and recommend appropriate Siemens Energy portfolio solutions to fulfill client requirements.
  • Collaborate with the combustion research and development team along with academic and research partners to comprehend the upstream and downstream process necessities.
  • Identify and understand the challenges and risks associated with scaling up processes, including fluid dynamics, thermal transfer, mass transfer, and operations of chemical and semi-batch reactors.
  • Partner with chemical collaborators and fellow engineers/scientists to transition processes from laboratory scale to pilot and commercial levels.
  • Assist in laboratory operations with academic collaborators to innovate and scale manufacturing processes for new product development.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 15 years of experience in the chemical sector, or a Master's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Extensive and proven expertise in chemical process development.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices.
  • Solid understanding of chemical engineering principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to devise innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership capabilities.
  • Initiative, creativity, and adept problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient written, verbal, computer, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel for domestic and international project engagements.
  • Experience in leading teams of engineers and/or chemists.
