Job Title: Strategic Procurement Manager

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead and supervise a team to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
    • Develop, implement, and oversee the procurement strategy to align with business objectives.
    • Plan, organize, and control purchasing activities for the organization.
    • Establish and maintain an efficient and reliable purchasing system.
    • Conduct regular reviews of procurement needs and ensure timely fulfilment of requirements.
    • Analyse market trends, supplier offerings, and industry developments to optimize sourcing decisions.
    • Prepare and evaluate tender documents, analyse bids, and negotiate contracts.
    • Recommend and approve supplier contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
    • Authorise purchase orders and approve payments in compliance with financial controls.
    • Manage the disposal of assets in accordance with organisational policies and regulations.
    • Ensure procurement processes adhere to organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Optimise cost-saving initiatives while ensuring high-quality purchases.
    • Provide recommendations on contract awards and establish favourable contract terms.
    • Oversee tender evaluations and procurement analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of procurement laws and regulations.
