The role of a Senior Piping Stress Engineer involves working closely with the piping stress lead to understand their requirements and address their demands in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities include providing effective stress solutions for critical piping and deck piping, coordinating project-specific issues, and developing reports as required by the lead.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of piping stress engineering principles and be able to perform tasks independently with minimal supervision.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Minimum 12 years of experience working in an engineering setup for upstream oil & gas projects (offshore & FPSO projects) serving as a Piping Stress Engineer.
- Ability to perform stress analysis using CAESAR II for various load cases.
- Proficiency in preparing stress critical line lists and performing welded shoe and trunnion calculations.
- Familiarity with selecting springs and generating data sheets.
- Knowledge of stress checks on IFC Isometrics/Pipe supports and preparation of stress Isometrics/stress reports.
- Ability to review and provide technical inputs on critical Pipe support design and/or Pipe stress related technical matters.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent engineering specialization.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical communication skills, be a self-starter, and be able to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
A strong industry knowledge in an MNC work environment would be an advantage.
OthersApplicants must be familiar with using Navisworks.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
