Job Summary

MyCareersFuture is seeking a highly skilled Lead Enterprise Backup and Storage Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our enterprise backup and storage infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Backup Implementation and Administration
    • Administer and operate backup and recovery systems, including Veritas NetBackup, Veritas Appliances, Rubrik, Data-Domain Appliances, and ECS Appliances.
    • Implement and manage backup and recovery policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Storage Implementation and Administration
    • Implement and manage storage systems, including HDS Storage, PURE and DELL SAN Storage, HDS and Isilon NAS Storage, and CISCO SAN Switches.
    • Administer and optimize storage performance, capacity, and security.
  • HCI and Virtualization
    • Design and implement Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) and Virtualization solutions, including VMWare, Nutanix, and Hyper-V.
    • Implement and manage HCI and Virtualization environments.
  • Automation and Observability
    • Implement automation and observability tools and platforms to drive operational efficiency.
    • Develop and implement scripts and automation workflows to streamline backup and storage operations.
  • Infrastructure Design and Implementation
    • Design and implement backup and storage infrastructure to meet business requirements and industry best practices.
    • Implement and manage data migration methodologies for backup and storage infrastructure.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
    • Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans and procedures.
    • Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
  • Security and Compliance
    • Implement and manage security and compliance policies, procedures, and best practices for backup and storage infrastructure.
    • Administer and optimize security and compliance controls.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration
    • Lead and manage a team of backup and storage administrators.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of backup and storage infrastructure.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT or Computer Engineering.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in architecting, designing, deploying, and administering storage and backup infrastructure.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficient in Linux backup work (CLI).
    • Good knowledge and experience in working on multiple backup software and backup appliances, preferably Veritas NetBackup, Veritas Backup Appliances, Rubrik, Data-Domain Appliances, DELL ECS Backup Appliances, etc.
    • Good knowledge and experience in working on multiple SAN and NAS storage products, preferably Hitachi, Pure Storage, EMC, Isilon, and CISCO MDS SAN switches.
    • Good knowledge and experience in HCI, Virtualization deployment.
    • Strong knowledge in hardware and systems software administration, data backup and recovery, replication, off-host backup, etc.
    • Scripting and automation.
  • Soft Skills
    • Service-oriented person with effective interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Good command of written and oral English and ability to communicate clearly with people at different levels.
    • Ability to think out of the box and work independently.
