The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Japan Finance related tasks, including daily/monthly finance reports, expense tracking, head office reporting, regulatory reporting, transfer pricing, and assisting in the review of current processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Reporting: Complete and review regulatory returns to ensure compliance with Japan's financial reporting requirements.
  • Management Reporting: Produce and review management decks, perform ad hoc analysis, and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Capital Reporting: Monitor and review capital returns for our Asia-Pacific entities to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Tax Reporting: Complete and review tax returns for our entities to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Projects: Lead automation initiatives, deliver EUC projects, and assess new business opportunities to drive growth and efficiency.
  • Audit: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to close out audit gaps and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Professionally qualified (CPA/ACCA/CA) with an accounting degree.
  • Strong understanding of Japan's regulatory and financial reporting requirements (JGAAP).
  • Fluent in both English and Japanese language to prepare and review regulatory/statutory returns in Japanese.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Audit.
  • Excellent Excel skills to build new reports and processes.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
