Senior NPU Digital Design Specialist

NPU Design Engineering Opportunity

This is a senior-level position that requires experience in digital design, specifically with NPU architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing technical specifications, creating microarchitecture designs, and optimizing Performance, Power, and Area (PPA).

  • Develop detailed technical requirements of an NPU given system level specifications.
  • Understand the mathematical concepts behind different convolution operators including various arithmetic formats (fixed point and floating point).
  • Create microarchitecture designs using Verilog / System Verilog HDL for various sub-blocks of the NPU.
  • Optimize PPA to meet key objectives and results.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of digital design experience, preferably with System-on-Chip (SoC) design experience and team leadership skills. Strong understanding of convolution operators, microarchitecture design, and Register-Transfer Level (RTL) coding is required.

A degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is preferred, along with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
