Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Child Welfare Specialist to join our team at Epworth Community Services. This role will provide intervention for youths-at-risk or youth offenders and their families, contributing to the services within the department and organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver family therapy sessions to support positive outcomes for families in need
  • Conduct screening assessments to identify areas of concern and develop strategies for improvement
  • Prepare and submit reports in a timely manner to ensure stakeholders receive accurate information
  • Support administrative requirements and contribute to organisational-wide initiatives as needed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree or graduate diploma in Social Work or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in clinical practice, with a focus on child welfare

Techincal Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with stakeholders
  • Strong report-writing skills to produce well-structured reports for court assessment
  • Able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and a team player
  • Bilingualism with good interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse communities

Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience
