Job Summary:

A seasoned structural engineer is required to lead offshore oil and gas project execution, ensuring technical integrity and compliance with industry standards.

About the Role:

  • This key position involves overseeing structural engineering aspects of projects, reviewing documentation, and preparing drawings and specifications.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with client teams, resolving technical issues, and providing engineering guidance as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee preparation and review of detailed calculations, analysis, and solutions to deliver safe, secure, and functional facilities.
  • Interface with client structural engineering teams to resolve technical issues and provide engineering guidance to contractors as necessary.
  • Prepare and review work progress reports, quality engineering deliverables, and achieve safety standards as defined in project requirements.
  • Support project planning and coordinate with class for surveys and reviews related to shipyard work.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's or Master's degree in structural engineering or equivalent.
  • Direct experience working on FPSO projects and a minimum of 15 years' experience with oil and gas projects (fixed installations and FPSOs).
  • Significant experience working as a senior or lead structural engineer and prior work experience with medium/large sized brownfield and/or greenfield projects in the upstream oil and gas sector.
  • Proficiency in commonly used business software applications such MS Office, MS Project, and drafting software such as AutoCAD and simulation software such as ORCAflex.

  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to analyze complex engineering data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
