About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Counsel to join our team at AIA Singapore Private Limited. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and guidance to support the growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to support the development and implementation of business strategies and initiatives.
  • Lead the legal and company secretarial functions for AIA Investment Management and related fund platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a robust legal infrastructure to support the legal and contractual needs of our business.
  • Manage and mitigate legal risk through effective risk management processes and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to a team of legal professionals.
Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor in a common law jurisdiction.
  • At least 15 years of post-qualification working experience as in-house legal counsel.
  • Regional asset management and funds business experience required.
  • Compliance and company secretarial experience will be an asset.
  • Strong leadership and supervision skills.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal with and handle multiple and changing priorities.
  • Good work attitude and ability to work as part of a larger team.
