About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Analyst/Senior Analyst to join our Insurance Ratings team in Singapore or Hong Kong office. This is a critical role that plays a pivotal part in global capital markets by providing credit analysis, ratings, research, and commentary to financial market participants.

The Asia Pacific Insurance group includes analysts in various countries, applying an open and balanced approach to credit assessment. You will work closely with senior management of rated issuers, present and respond to queries from investors, bankers, and the media, and provide quality rating reports on rated issuers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate insurance market knowledge and industry-related experience.
  • Support a portfolio of issuer ratings, including preparation of financial ratio analysis and discussion of credit issues in rating committees.
  • Publish quality rating reports on rated issuers and sector-specific research.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with senior management of rated issuers.
  • Present and respond to queries from investors, bankers, and the media together with senior analysts.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' credit analysis experience in the insurance sector (preferably) for SA role; less than 3 years of experience for A role.
  • Degree-level education in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Basic knowledge of insurance accounting/financial statements interpretation, with strong attention to detail, especially in data handling.
  • Strong writing skills in English, and fluency in verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
