Job Description:
As a kitchen assistant, you will be responsible for handling day-to-day operations in the central kitchen. Your tasks will include plating food for counter service, cooking and mixing rice, kitchen preparation work, and replenishing required ingredients. You will also be responsible for cleaning and washing all used service/kitchen tools, equipment, and workstations. Additionally, you will maintain cleanliness & food hygiene standards, handle basic knife skills, and be able to stand long hours.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience as a kitchen assistant. You should also be able to read and assist in stock taking, stock receiving, and dispatching.

Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary. Off days will be arranged by management, and if working on public holidays, off-in-lieu will be given.

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this role include:
  • Handle day-to-day operations according to SOP in Central Kitchen
  • Plating food for counter service
  • Cooking and mixing rice
  • Kitchen preparation work and mise en place
  • Replenishing required ingredients
  • Cleaning and washing all used service/kitchen tools, equipment, and workstations
  • Maintain cleanliness & food hygiene standards
  • Basic Knife Skills
  • Able to stand long hours
  • Able to read so can assist in stock taking, stock receiving and dispatching
