Culinary Team Leader

Job Overview:

This role is responsible for supporting the senior culinary staff in delivering high-quality food production and presentation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Culinary Team Member to join our team as a leader. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to the highest standard, maintaining quality and consistency throughout all kitchen operations.

You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations, adhering to hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items to the highest standard, maintaining quality and consistency throughout all kitchen operations.
  • Work closely with senior chefs to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations, adhering to hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Assist in training and supervising junior team members, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate in Culinary Skills or equivalent professional qualification.
  • At least 1 year of Western culinary experience in a supervisory capacity within a fine dining environment.
  • A strong foundation in c-ulinary techniques, plating, and food safety practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen.
