Job Title: Telecom Specialist

At Tower Research Capital, we are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the full delivery lifecycle of new services, ensuring timely delivery, and communicating with stakeholders on the status of tasks and workflows.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery lifecycle of new services, including circuits, cross-connects, and colocation, to ensure timely delivery and meet deadlines.
  • Engage with financial exchanges to understand new market data and order entry solutions, and communicate these offerings internally to relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate with stakeholders on the status of tasks and workflows, update internal customers, and set accurate expectations.
  • Work with Telco and DC vendors to coordinate deliverables, schedule testing, manage troubleshooting, and validate billing.
  • Manage internal databases to accurately reflect service, system, and vendor records.
  • Monitor ticketing systems for incoming requests and tasks.
  • Collaborate with Tower networking and infrastructure teams.
  • Be the single point of contact for all administrative and operational questions.
  • Contribute to vendor service reviews.
  • Support large-scale projects and coordinate all aspects related to Telecom.
  • Identify solutions aligned with business requirements that may lower costs, latency, or increase performance/availability.
  • Build, maintain, and grow relationships with key vendors through regular meetings and attending industry events.
  • Stay current on emerging carrier solutions and developments and changes at key financial exchanges in the region.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in a relevant industry (Telecom, Data Provider, Exchange, FinTech).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field (advantageous).
  • Experience in managing multiple work streams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of telecommunications (Ethernet, IP, etc.) and/or data center (power, space, cross-connects).
  • Experience with vendor engagement and management.
  • Demonstrated ability for thoroughness, attention to detail, and good judgment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities at the same time while remaining calm and composed.
  • This position will require occasional on-call, holiday, night, and/or weekend work to support projects in non-trading hours.
