AutoCAD Drafter Role

As a skilled AutoCAD drafter, you will play a pivotal part in creating precise CAD drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Revit. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all drawings align with project specifications and adhere to established standards.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Create detailed CAD drawings for various projects, utilizing your expertise in AutoCAD and Revit software.
2. Support design coordination by developing, editing, and updating CAD drawings and Building Information Modelling (BIM) models.
3. Generate General Arrangement (GA) drawings, including accurate Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) in both 2D and 3D formats.
4. Interpret electrical trade requirements to produce layout drawings and single-line diagrams.
5. Deliver high-quality AutoCAD/BIM outputs within project timelines and quality benchmarks.
6. Prepare proposal, shop, and as-built drawings across all project stages.
7. Develop coordination drawings to integrate architectural, structural, mechanical & electrical, and other disciplines.
8. Conduct clash detection and collaborate with project teams to resolve design conflicts.
9. Perform site surveys and inspections to verify drawing accuracy and address discrepancies.
10. Participate in contractor meetings, communicating design changes and new requirements to engineers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, ITE certification, BCA qualification, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in AutoCAD drafting and/or BIM modelling.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (mandatory).
- Experience in drafting for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) and Fire Protection Services.
- Familiarity with Singapore CIM Guidelines and Code of Practice.
- Knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection and rendering tools such as Enscape or 3ds Max is a plus.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing site and design challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with contractors, engineers, and clients.
